_{Though he prefers to be aloof, he will be loyal to whomever does dare befriend him. He is also a responsible, self-reliant lad with a strong work ethic, despite wanting to do everything on his own. Shahnaz is organized where work is concerned, a trait he shares with his cousin, but may be a bit more disorganized and even messy when dealing with his personal life/things. He also has a tough exterior and may encourage those he's remotely interested in, as a friend or otherwise, to build up their own exteriors. He prefers an eccentric style of dress.}

_{Shahnaz is mistrusting of others initially, unless they prove themselves otherwise. He likes for his things and his space not to be invaded by others. He is short-tempered and the smallest things can set him off. When he is set off, he will show it in either of two ways: dramatic shouting or violent outburst. The outbursts happen in cases where he's especially upset about something and feels the need to break a few things. The shouting happens a lot more often. Contrarily, he may occasionally mumble. He may also come off as insensitive in conversation, especially when he's giving his honest opinion on a subject. Shahnaz is vain and entitled. He feels he is just the greatest thing and should be treated as such. He is also competitive, scheming, and vindictive. The dorm leader will take great care to get back at those who cross him and will keep the war going until he is the definitive victor. He is also a bit lazy and will look for the easiest route to do something or will “ask” someone else to do something for him. He is domineering, which lends to his inability to work well with others, in addition to his stubbornness. The dorm leader is greedy and likes finding things that may be of worth that he could sell. He does have his morals though, and will not accept bribes.}

History:
_{Shahnaz's parents were non-monochromatic, but they were more accepting of him than Aderyn's parents were of her. His parents even doted on him because of his special circumstance. They did not know what to do when he got into fights with other demons at school. He also endured verbal abuse from his non-monochromatic siblings at home behind his parents' backs, which he would promptly tell his parents who failed to believe him. He often kept to himself, holed up in his room making little puppets out of whatever was available. They feared what might become of Shahnaz if he continued to endure torment at school and close himself off and lie at home. His parents finally decided he was to be taken in by his great aunt, who was renown for taking in the troubled children in the family, and cousin, which occurred about eight years before his great aunt's passing. Seeing how spoiled he was, she decided she'd curse him after death so that his lesson could continue.

There were two fox spirits that went around terrorizing people in the vicinity not too long ago and tricking them into believing they were deities. When townsfolk were finally fed up with the two spirits, they found a way to trap them and seal them in a box for what they hoped would be eternity. Quirky as she was, Shahnaz's great aunt had purchased this box for a small fee, simply to add to her collection of oddities. She had been an avid collector of supposedly cursed and possessed items. She thought this box was now perfect for the purpose of teaching Shahnaz a lesson after her death, which was looming on the horizon. His great aunt found a spell in one of the books in her collection that could tie the three of them together, in hopes that all the negatives would produce a positive turnout.

Finally, after his great aunt's passing, Shahnaz found a note she'd left for him meant to be opened after her death. It spoke of a "special gift" she'd reserved just for him and on the back of it a map had been drawn out. Enclosed with the letter was a key to open some sort of lock. His aunt had amassed her own fortune over the years as an "archeologist for hire" who received funding from private clients. While he thought it would be some hidden riches she'd reserved just for him, he found that inside the oddly sealed box were nothing more than a pair of brightly colored foxes. He scoffed at the two little creatures and had intended to leave immediately when they pounced on him in excitement, burning some of his skin. When the two attempted to leave, vexed by Shahnaz's attitude, they found they were unable to. The three found that the farther away they got from each other, they felt an ever increasing amount of pain. When they got too far apart, they hit a sort of invisible wall which was quickly followed by a strong pull backward which brought them back together. This is also a part of their seemingly endless curse. His cousin, Aderyn, was not too happy about him bringing them home, either.

Life with the fox twins made his life more miserable than he already felt it was. He became paranoid due to the invasive nature of their powers. Shahnaz also began to wear clothing that covered up his limbs, as the twins very much enjoyed torturing him with simple little touches as they were aware of the pitfalls of his recessive trait. His misery made him less receptive to his cousin and her teachings as well, in addition to his anger at her receiving his great aunt's wealth as opposed to him receiving it. Shahnaz was a bit unresponsive at first upon hearing about the Monochromatic Academy from his cousin. School was just something he wasn't into, despite the fairly good grades he received from his cousin when she taught him. What would the change of venue really do for him? After a few lectures and the threat of being flown there, Shahnaz finally agreed that it would be a good idea to go to the school. His ulterior motive was the hope that the twins would have fun picking on some of the others at the school and give him a rest from it.}
