Personality: Shashi is a stubborn and, what she would call “prideful,” overconfident woman. She also tries to remain aloof with her, self-proclaimed, witty remarks; however, she is not beyond helping her fellowman--though often times such favors do not go unreciprocated.

Biography:

Shashi was born into a family of three--the only girl amongst two brothers. She heralds from the Delphinus region, where her family has set up lasting roots, having moved to Tyrim on her own. Like her immediate family and her grandmother before her, she was born partially blind. She is now completely blind in her left eye--a result of hubris in a fight. She fought with a close friend, but ended up losing more than just sight on the surface (her pride, too, had been wounded). This is just one of the few factors that lead her to leave Delphinus, though if asked, she’d claim it was ultimately to make her own roots elsewhere or that she tired of the “scenery.”

She looked to her aforementioned, late grandmother as a role model. Indeed, her mother and father, an archer and a lancer, observed she had the same talents for dark magic as she. Her grandmother took her under her wing and taught her as much as she could before passing of old age. She also inherited her grandmother’s senses of taste and smell--perfect for the family bakery business. Upon leaving her family behind for Tyrim, though, Shashi took some of her family recipes with her and began selling breads, cakes, and pies--meat pies being a specialty--on the street. In addition to this, one may find her sitting on the ground and playing her sitar, though it’s not her strong suit--an instrument she learned from her musician father.

trees, poles, and various other vertical, cylindrical objects that obstruct her path (which she’ll fling a curse or two at)
having her blindness taken advantage of (i.e., someone she’s talking to trying to throw her off by walking around her/throwing their voice)

Quirks:

speaks in terms of food (sometimes referring to others by the names of dishes), therein confusing others, especially in terms of connotation, and may come off as a cannibal to some (she’s obviously not)
smells and tastes others to get a better feel of “who” they are, though she does not do this as frequently as she “maps out” others’ faces by touching them

Skill/Spell Set:

Bonestrike - The Sage summons bones which hover around him, using them to strike his enemy.

Infect - The Sage conjures a poison and infects his victim, slowing his movement speed by 20% and gradually lowering his health per second for a maximum of 20% health. Has a 50% chance of being resisted.

Additional Info:
Shashi is based off of the deep-sea anglerfish, Bufoceratias wedli.
She has another luminescent orb, like the one on her forehead, at the base of the back of her neck, which runs into her shoulder region.
The sight in her right eye is somewhat better at night because she can better see light--her light, at least--bounce off objects and people to form clearer pictures(hence her affinity for darkness).
Her poor eyesight makes her a little clumsy (in addition to her regular pole-face meets).
She likes accessories with octopi on them (incase you couldn’t tell).
The bronze armor she wears also once belonged to her grandmother.
She has quite a few scars from fights (some from her brothers, which she won’t care to admit).
While she does like to eat, cook, and bake, she tends to only eat small portions of food throughout the day to feed her muscles (mostly after swimming).
